Week 12 For today's tutorial, we were instructed to present our AR project, however only the brainstorming sheet. We all did our brainstorming on Coggle (like how I've mentioned on my previous Reflection post), so we present our Coggle page. After presenting, Dr. Fariza gave us some advice regarding our project. What I have learned through the presentation: 1. Be as clear as you can! As a future teacher, when you are doing your own teaching materials, you should avoid any ambiguity in delivering information. If ambiguity is everywhere, the information becomes less solid and worse, it could be misleading. For instance, in our AR project, in the beginning, we did not provide any audio input on how the phobias name should be pronounced. It could lead people to pronounce it the way they want, although it might wrong (or correct). In additional, the phobias names are very long and quite unfamiliar in daily conversation. Therefore, teachers need to be very clear in delivering something. 2. Prioritize the learners In this matter, I have actually discussed about it in the previous Reflection post, however, it seems like, I was not able to apply it in our AR project. Previously, we were told that to make a good teaching aid, we need to know our learners. Our main objectives should emphasize on learners. However, in our AR project, we somehow emphasized on teachers such as (1) to make teaching more efficient, (2) to help teachers in giving clear pictures for students. We have neglected the learners in some ways. Dr. Fariza suggested us change our objectives, and I have always remembered that teaching aids are for students! That's all from me, thank you!
